Connecting to SQL Azure using ADO.NET

Use the SqlConnectionStringBuilder and then set properties.

SqlConnectionStringBuilder connection = new SqlConnectionStringBuilder();
connection.DataSource = "tcp: " + ServerName;
connection.InitialCatalog = DatabaseName;
connection.UserID = UserID;
connection.Password = Password;
connection.Encrypt = true;
connection.TrustServerCertificate = false;
return connection.ToString();
